Tips & tricks for new players

  1. Master your tank's role

Light tanks are for spotting and flanking. Medium tanks are the backbone of the line. Heavy tanks hold key positions. Self-propelled guns provide fire support. Pick a tank that matches your playstyle and master it before moving on.

  2. Positioning beats gun skill

The best tank gun in the world won't save you if you're in the wrong place. Use cover, hull-down positions, and map knowledge to control where enemies can shoot you. A well-positioned light tank can outperform a poorly placed heavy.

  3. Spotting is a team sport

Your team can only shoot what they can see. As a light or medium tank, your primary job is often to spot enemies and call them out in voice chat. A good spotter can turn a losing battle into a win.

  4. Manage your ammunition

Different shells have different roles. AP shells penetrate armor, HE shells deal area damage, and HEAT shells ignore angled armor. Know which shell to use against which target, and don't waste your AP on soft targets.

  5. Play with a squad

Solo play is fine, but a coordinated squad of 3-5 players can dominate a battle. Use voice chat to coordinate pushes, call out enemy positions, and support each other's flanks.

  6. Study the map before the battle

Every map has key positions, choke points, and sight lines. Spend 30 seconds studying the map before each battle. Knowing where enemies will come from and where you can hide makes all the difference.
